Specialist Support for Schools

Specialist Maths Teaching

Based in east Surrey, I am a Level 5 qualified specialist teacher for maths difficulties, including dyscalculia. I can travel to your school to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis. My teaching supports pupils who have been experiencing ongoing difficulties with maths to realise their potential.

Visiting specialist teacher

Beginning with informal assessments, I design personalised programmes for each pupil I work with. Utilising SpLD teaching methods, I tailor lessons to pupils' specific conceptual gaps and their learning style which enables them them to develop deep, lasting understanding of mathematical ideas.

Personalised for each learner

School Services

Individual Maths Support

I can provide specialist maths teaching within local schools for pupils from Year 3 to Year 11. This can be offered as ongoing weekly support tailored to individual needs, or as a fixed-length programme focused on specific goals.

Dyscalculia support

Primary SEN support

GCSE maths support

For KS2 pupils, I identify where the maths concept gaps lie and use multi-sensory teaching methods to build lasting understanding and increased mathematical confidence.

For pupils approaching their GCSEs, I use interactive and visual teaching methods to fill earlier gaps in understanding before building back up to GCSE level skills.

For pupils with dyscalculia, my teaching focuses on developing number sense. Multi-sensory activities bring meaning to numbers and symbols.
